This adventure begins in Windhoek. The perfect start to recover from long flights and to stock up for the journey whilst soaking up the unique Afro-German culture that abounds in this delightful city. Vehicles will be collected in Windhoek and a thorough tour briefing is given before the adventure begins.
South of Windhoek is Sesriem - our base to explore this remarkable dune landscape. The dunes around Sossusvlei are some of the highest in the world and provide magical photographic opportunities in beautiful light. There is also an option of exploring from above - on a hot air balloon safari!
Namibia's popular coastal town, known for its German influence and Bavarian architecture. A walk around the quaint town is a must and there are several supermarkets and deli's at which to restock. With a full day in Swakopmund, there is ample time to explore.
Wide open spaces, geological formations and the opportunity to see some of the desert adapted wildlife that exists in the arid Damaraland region are highlights. We visit community conservation areas where wildlife and people coexist and we will have sundowners with some of Africa's most incredible vistas as our backdrop.
Famed for the dry expansive salt pan, this park is a wildlife haven. Game viewing is spectacular. With large herds of zebra, wildebeest, elephant and many species of antelope and giraffe, morning and afternoon drives are an adventure. Lion, leopard, cheetah and black rhino are less common, but often seen.
From the dry expanse of Etosha, the Kavango region is quite different from what we have experienced in the greater part of Namibia. The Kavango river, which flows from Angola, brings life-giving water and minerals to the Okavango Delta. We will camp on the banks of the Kavango River.
Heading east across the “Caprivi Strip'', we make our way to another wild area that beautifully mirrors the Okavango wetlands with an edge that is distinctly “Namibian” - Mamili, experiencing unspoilt views of the Linyanti Wetlands and its abundant wildlife and birdlife.
Our incredible journey ends on the banks of the Chobe River, in Botswana. Our last night is on the edge of the river at the Magnificent Chobe Safari Lodge, where a final dinner is enjoyed together after a spectacular sunset boat cruise on the game rich Chobe River.
Kasane is ideally situated for connecting flights back to major international airports in South Africa, or for onward travel to the Okavango Delta, Victoria Falls or several other adjacent safari destinations.
Starting in Windhoek, Namibia and finishing in Kasane, Botswana. This journey takes you to some of the most incredible parts of Namibia. With highlights including; the Dunes of Sossusvlei, the wild Damaraland region – home of the desert adapted black rhino and desert elephants, Etosha National Park, the Kavango River in the Caprivi and the Chobe River separating Namibia and Botswana.

Thank you for organizing such a fabulous trip for us, Stew. Dugald and I loved Namibia. The diversity of the countryside was spectacular, let alone the people and the animals - wow what an experience! The planning you must have put in to make it all run as seamlessly as it did was obviously huge and greatly appreciated by us all.
